Problem

Heavy biofilm throughout the system — pipes, valves, cooling towers and heat exchangers — despite biocide dosing; algae growth at the cooling tower.

Implementation

After an on-site inspection, several Merus Rings were installed at strategic points of the cooling water loop.

    Understand the application

Discuss the system, the fluid and the operating problem. Define what an appropriate trial should investigate.

  2. 02 /

    Install on the existing system

Select the ring for the pipe and application. Plan installation and on-site support where required.

  3. 03 /

    Monitor what changes

Use relevant operating data and inspections — including pressure, temperature, flow and visual checks.
